For better quality tubular skylights you should expect the following wattage equivalent lighting.

10	Up to 150 sq. ft	Up to 300 watts
13	Up to 300 sq. ft.	Up to 500 watts
18	Up to 500 sq. ft.	Up to 1000 watts
21	Up to 700 sq. ft.	Up to 1450 watts

 

Some models even come with dimmers so you can adjust the light as needed if you choose such a model.
